What happens in Minneapolis, MN impacts the world!

Will YOU be a part of it?

2022 will have a significant impact on restoring and rebuilding Minneapolis for years to come. Source is located at the epicenter of the Minneapolis 2020 unrest and has been serving this community for over 25 years. Come make a difference! Join us in restoring kingdom foundations and bringing light in the darkness.

We believe that God wants to awaken the hearts of His people to both experience and release the fullness of His goodness within our city.

We’re calling people from around our state and nation to come to Minneapolis for a 1-week Urban Ministry Intensive followed by an optional Summer Internship focused on restoring us and our city to all that God has for us.

Partnering with local pastors and outreach workers, we will be doing prayer walks and worship times, going on site to strategic locations, participating in service projects, meeting practical needs, and reaching out to those who are hurting from a year of trauma that is still ongoing.

Areas of Training and Outreach will Include:
– How to Effectively Share the Good News of God’s Love and Forgiveness
– Spiritual Warfare 101
– Praying for Strangers
– Lake Street Prayer Walk
– Service Projects for the Poor
– Human Trafficking
– Homeless Youth

– How to be Smart and Safe in Times of Unrest
– How to Persevere while Reaching out to the Marginalized

More details about Source and our Lake Street ’22 Initiative

Source Lake Street ’22.

Source’s 2-year response to rebuild and restore South Minneapolis after 2020. For 25 years, Source MN has served East Lake Street, just a few blocks away from the Fallout (our community center). Lake Street is the heart of the impoverished immigrant neighborhoods devastated by the 2020 Minneapolis unrest. That’s why we distributed 200 tons of groceries and thousands of homeless meals from the Lake Street Kmart and the Fallout during our spring and summer response to the poverty and hunger crisis caused by the Covid-19 pandemic and the Minneapolis unrest.

At the end of 2020, crime and poverty remain at record levels with little relief in sight. Darkness and victimization have increased and will continue if the city continues its natural downward spiral.

2021-2022 are critical to the rebuilding and restoring of the city. The next two years will be significant for decades to come. Source has been a light in the darkness since 1995 in South Minneapolis, working with homeless youth, trafficking victims, addicts and impoverished families.

Our physical location, historical impact, and partners allowed us to mobilize quickly to the 2020 crisis. Now the need is to rebuild and restore in 2021 and 2022. As more families experienced crisis in 2020, we increased our food distribution more than 15- fold in 2020, serving hundreds in need.

Lake Street ‘22 initiatives allow Source to continue to build upon our 2020 responses with strategic initiatives that include: Food Distribution, Homeless Meals, Anti- Trafficking, Teen Leadership and Art Programs, Small Business Assistance, and Latino Family Outreach.
