WHO WE SERVE

Urban poor, homeless youth, victims of prostitution and drug abuse, impoverished immigrant families – along with anti-mainstream individuals and emerging artists, all who are trying to overcome walls built by victimization and skepticism. SOURCE has been serving the at-risk and unreached since 1987 in one of the most diverse neighborhoods in the country.

Mission and Vision:

To empower the at-risk and unreached to make a break from the past and build a foundation for the future. Our goal is to provide 1) Opportunity through serving physical and emotional needs and 2) voice the Hope of God’s love and forgiveness

Opportunity & Hope communicates our “whole”-istic philosophy of 1) Food and Outreach: providing physical needs and safety for today, 2) Recovery Resources: to empower and build healthy foundations for sustainable long-term recovery, and 3) Prayer and Faith: voicing the hope of God’s love and forgiveness with initiatives to grow in faith. Thousands have received resources and prayer to overcome traumas since 2020.

URBAN OUTREACH

a friend and a voice

To make a lasting impact, we serve physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. That is why we follow a holistic approach of Hope and Opportunity. Our goal is to be a friend who serves people’s needs, along with a voice that communicates God’s love and forgiveness.  Our food shelf, community meals, and creative events allow us to make contact and build trust to speak Hope and then offer Opportunities for lasting life change through mentorship, transitional homes, and life-skill programs.

ANTI-TRAFFICKING

opportunities & empowerment

Empowering sex-trafficking victims to get out and not return to the past lifestyle is possible when recovery resources are available. Often accessibility to after-care and supportive community is missing after treatment. Through our Annex Network of prevention, outreach, recovery resources, and transitional homes, we’ve established a model that allows partnerships with local organizations and congregations who desire to make an impact in their own backyard.
