Women’s Center Campaign Update $100K (28%) of this year’s $350K Goal - THANK YOU!
This summer we continue to see weekly 30-40 members of our community coming to Women’s Drop-In to meet basic needs and receive prayer. Expanding into the new Women’s Center will allow us to meet the incredible need: offering laundry, showers, a clothes closet, counseling rooms, workshops, Bible Studies, and meals.
We already have $100K (28%) of the 2026 $350K goal, When we meet this year’s goal we will have a total of $650K and we can begin the renovations that include showers, laundry, and multi-use spaces.
We're always busy in the summer at Source MN! Here are a few statistics to give you a glimpse into what ministry has looked like over the past few months:
Youth impacted at Metanoia Summer Camp
This July, Viña La Fuente Pastors Fernando and Mally from Source brought youth from their congregation to Metanoia summer camp. Seventy students from three congregations met new people, enjoyed games and competitions, and grew in their faith. This was a first time experience for many of the students. Youth came home with not only new friends and great memories, but also with stories of hope and transformation that will last a lifetime.
Neighbors meet up at Source Block Party
This year’s Block Party was hot! But the sun didn’t stop us from having fun, with snow cones, music, mimes, painting, games, and a performance from our own Alpha women demonstrating the power of the gospel to transform lives. Staff member Columba described their performance: “It was very meaningful for the women to express their faith in public.”
Women's Drop-in sees continued demand
Summer sees more than 30 women come weekly to Women’s Drop-In Hours, where they can pick up hygiene products, do laundry, shower, receive prayers, and sometimes experience the unexpected: after receiving prayer earlier in the day at the Women’s Drop-in, one of our food shelf guests this summer told staff, “I haven’t had pain in my knees since you prayed for me! That never happens!”
Supportive Housing: One family's story
You may have seen one of our Source families in the AP news this winter: a family with 8 children faced crisis when the mother was detained and taken to another state. Her children, under the care of extended family, moved into a Source supportive housing apartment and Source partnered with churches to provide support. Assisting this family to secure employment, attend church, register children for school, and identify a teen internship were all part of the last 6 months. The family now has stable employment and they have moved out into their own apartment.
