It is summer at Source MN and we are moving full-speed ahead! This is our busy season, with summer outreach, internships, and work groups running alongside the supports we maintain year-round. (To quantify: during the first quarter of 2026, we distributed 671,316 pounds of food to families; housed 14 children and teens in supportive housing; and mobilized over 1100 volunteers.) We cherish our identity as the “food and prayer” people, continuing to also offer Alpha classes, a community meal and Bible study, homeless outreach, and Women’s Drop-in. Read on for a more in-depth update about Source’s ministry this summer!
Reaching urban, at-risk, and homeless youth has been a part of Source since 1995. Source MN programs give youth opportunities to focus on life skills, serve their community, and grow in faith. Teen internships and National Homeless Youth Outreach have a direct focus on youth, while local homeless outreach, Women’s Drop-In, community meals, and our supportive housing program allow Source to make an impact for youth and teens who want to escape the trappings of poverty and abuse.
