December 2025 Updates

A Year of Hope, Transformation & New Opportunities at Source MN

As we near the end of 2025, we’re celebrating an incredible year of impact, growth, and life-changing stories made possible through your generosity, prayers, and partnership. Together, we served thousands of individuals facing homelessness, food insecurity, addiction, trauma, and crisis — offering dignity, safety, and a path forward.

This year, Source MN provided:

$3.5 million in healthy food relief, serving 500–600 families every week
1,400+ visits to the Women’s Drop-In, offering safety, showers, laundry, and a place of belonging
Recovery support through caseworkers, ESL classes, mentorship, and supportive housing
Hundreds of prayers, pastoral counseling sessions, and more than 700 first-time commitments to Christ since 2020
A growing La Fuente Latino Church, youth ministry, and Alpha faith programs
Vital outreach to homeless youth, women, and immigrant families, including 18 baptisms

This year also brought a historic new opportunity: The expansion of our new Women’s Center, a dedicated, trauma-informed, 8,400 sq ft facility designed to serve women and children with dignity, safety, and long-term support — including a $100,000 matching challenge to help fund Phases 1 and 2.

Women's Center $100,000 Match - Double Your Giving Impact

Help us double the impact!

Source MN is launching a $100,000 matching challenge to support the new Source Women’s Center. Every dollar you give toward the down payment will be matched dollar-for-dollar, up to $100,000.

Our 2025 goal is $450,000 of the total cost $950,000:
– The purchase of the building: $775,000
– Construction and remodeling: $175,000

2025 presents an incredible opportunity, not only to finish the year strong in our food and outreach programs, but also to take a historic step forward by establishing a dedicated Women’s Center that will serve and protect thousands of women and children for decades to come.

1) Outreach & Food have been a bridge to 2) Recovery Resources & 3) Faith Initiatives for thousands since 2020.

In 2025, Source will provide $3.5 million of HEALTHY Food Relief reaching over 500 families weekly – 25,000 family visits in ’25 (120,000 individuals).

For $20, we are able to provide $160 (more than 8x the cost) of HEALTHY food for the week. This includes 2 lbs of meat, milk, eggs and fresh produce. Average family size is 4.7.

Beyond Case Workers and Resources, at-risk women find belonging and nurturing to begin the road to overcoming the past, and a community of support and encouragement to help them lay the foundations for a future.

New Facility: The 8,400 sq ft building will allow us to serve more women and be more effective: expand receiving and hospitality, multiple showers & laundry, private counseling, open more hours, free clinic days, greater storage, 2×3 BR apartments, and a beautiful courtyard.

$100,000 Match to help meet the 2025 goal of $450K for Phases 1 & 2, which allows us to use the main floor. Our Goal is to see the final $500K raised in 2026 – Phase 3 (Showers / Laundry Build-Out) and Phase 4 (2 x 3 BR Apartments).

Women's Drop-In: Providing Physical Needs - Empowering Life Long Changes

Drop-In Hours at the Source Community Center provide Caseworkers, Resources, a Shower, and a Laundry. It is essential to be able to serve physical needs and provide follow-up after making contact with food outreaches. Many Homeless & Immigrant women are victims of abuse, trauma, and trafficking, and building trust takes time. The Drop-In is a safe and welcoming place for those who do not feel safe or welcome anywhere else.

The combination of voicing hope that a better life is possible, practical coaching of how to begin, providing resources to take first steps, and pastoral counseling sharing God’s love and forgiveness are essential.

We provide referrals for treatment, medical, and mental illness resources, along with shelters, housing, and job placement, while listening to past experiences, offering prayer, and tears.

Over the last 18 months, we have grown to 30-50 women per week, and the 300 sq ft reception area, one shower, and laundry facilities are insufficient.

A facility directly next door is available for purchase, creating the opportunity for a dedicated Women’s Center: a safe, dignifying, trauma-informed space designed specifically for women and children in crisis.

Came for Laundry & Left with Christ and a Future

Previously homeless, Terry, a young single mom of a 9-month-old and a 2-year-old, came to Source to use the laundry facilities. Living in the neighborhood, she still needed help providing for her children’s basic needs. The help she received at Source has relieved the stress on her and her young children. She had time to sit and talk with staff member Michelle about practical needs and about God’s love and forgiveness. She made a first-time commitment to follow Christ.

She has experienced spiritual growth and expresses a new hope for a positive future. Beyond being helped with physical needs, she has benefited from caring conversations, new friendships, and community.

Celeste - Found Safety, Recovery Support & Prayer

“The drop in center helped me to find God again.”

Celeste is from Russia and is most comfortable speaking Spanish. She found herself homeless after rent increases and a job loss. During a hospitalization for alcohol dependency, a social worker told her about Source. Feeling vulnerable, alone, and cut off from family, Source provided safety and advocacy as Celeste continued to face addiction and homelessness. Along with coffee, laundry, and shower facilities, staff at Source faithfully prayed with her, reconnecting her to her childhood faith and hope in Jesus. After 2 years of being homeless, Source helped Celeste find housing. She continues to work with Source staff to navigate her return to her job as a PCA, connect with a faith community for support and encouragement, and grow in her faith. She has a restored hope that she can help others in the same way she’s been helped by the Source community.

“I feel as you are all family.”

Annet became homeless after an abusive relationship. After several years, she came to a breaking point: “I had given up in the faith… I was about to end it all, feeling alone and very defeated.” Then she believed God led her to the Drop-In, where she felt safe and welcomed. She found staff that listened, encouraged and prayed for her. Now she has a new hope. She no longer feels alone and has a community to help her.
