- $15 Million ($4.5M in 2024) of HEALTHY Food Relief to the poorest of the poor in the South Mpls Neighborhoods still recovering from the 2020 unrest.

In 2024 Source will provide $4.5 Million of HEALTHY Food Relief to over 600 family visits weekly – 30,000 family visits in ’24 (135,000 individuals). We have been able to do this for under 12% cost/value ratio – 2024 cost was $400,000 but will increase to $550,000 in 2025.

Source is effective and unique. We are reaching the at-risk and unreached while doing things no one else is doing. Source also goes beyond meeting physical needs and empowers lifelong change.
Our Recovery Resource and Faith Initiatives Programs provide the components that transform “Enabling with just physical needs today” into “Empowering foundations for lifelong change.”
Our Year-End 2024 goal of $100,000 will allow us to continue offering those who receive food the vision and practical hope of a path to a lifelong change. These follow-up opportunities are critical for the marginalized to take the next steps to break from the past and build foundations for the future.
2024 Recovery Resources & Faith Initiatives included:
- Women’s Drop-In: 10-20 women every week
- Case-worker: emergency shelters, detox, treatment, housing and medical referrals
- Trafficking survivors, single moms, and new immigrant children in supportive housing
- LaFuente Latino Church: 14 Baptisms
- Alpha & Bible Studies: over 100 weekly – Groups during the day (many work 2nd shift and weekends) and evening
- ESL: We meet new immigrants every week
- Healthy Cooking Class: How to prepare healthy meals and fresh produce
