Potential New Women’s Center:

A Place of Hope and Healing

A Growing Need, A Growing Opportunity

Every week, women at risk walk through our doors—many in tears, many offering prayers of gratitude. At the Women’s Drop-In Program, they find more than food or a shower. They find hope.

For many weeks now, we’ve witnessed something incredible: women committing their lives to Christ for the very first time. Lives once defined by fear and brokenness are finding freedom, faith, and healing.

But the need has outgrown our current space.

In 2024 alone, over 1,000 women came through our doors, twice the number from the previous year. Today, 30–50 women attend each week, overwhelming our current facility, which only has one shower, one washer/dryer, and 300 sq. ft. of meeting space.

It’s time for a new home.

Stories of Transformation

“I came into town with two small children, no belongings, and nowhere to live. Women’s Drop-In was the only place I could find help. I was treated with dignity, they prayed with me, and they provided food, housing, and a church home for my family. I am so grateful!”

“This is the only place where I feel safe – thank you!”

“I have nowhere to do laundry and take a shower.”

And then there’s Maria’s story.
She first came to the Drop-In looking for food and hygiene items. She received prayer, connected with staff, and later attended La Fuente church services. In May, Maria was baptized—one of 14 women baptized that month alone. Today, she thanks God for her new hope and new start.

Why a New Women’s Center?

For nearly 30 years, Source MN has reached women at risk of trafficking, abuse, and homelessness. From working with the FBI and local law enforcement to providing transitional homes and victim support, we’ve walked alongside hundreds of women and teens in desperate situations.

But today, the Women’s Program has outgrown our Community Center.

The building next door is now available for purchase. With your help, this new facility can become a dedicated Women’s Center—a safe space designed to meet physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.

The New Women’s Center Will Provide:

  • Multiple showers & laundry stations
  • Private counseling rooms for healing conversations
  • Case worker office for recovery resources and support
  • Hygiene & clothing storage for immediate needs
  • Dedicated Drop-In space with 10x the room of our current facility
  • 6 bedrooms (2 residential units) for women transitioning out of crisis
  • Future potential for free medical or therapy clinics

The Reality We Face

  • 15 years old: average age a girl is first trafficked
  • Within 48 hours, a homeless youth will be approached by sex or drug industry predators
  • 15% increase in homeless women since 2020
  • 53,000 survivors receive domestic violence services in Minnesota annually
  • 40 women lost their lives to domestic violence in 2023 alone—a record number
  • 1 in 4 Minnesota women report physical violence from an intimate partner at some point in their life

These women need a place of refuge. They need hope. They need Christ.

How You Can Help

We believe God has opened the door to this new facility. But we can’t do it without you.

Your partnership will help us purchase and transform this building into a 7,400 sq. ft. Women’s Center—a place of safety, healing, and new beginnings.

Here’s how you can join us:

  • Pray for the women we serve and the new facility campaign
  • Give to help purchase and renovate the new building
  • Spread the Word by sharing this vision with your church, friends, and community

Together, We Can Open the Doors

For every woman who comes in hungry, tired, abused, or homeless, there is an opportunity for restoration. What begins with a shower, a meal, or a prayer can lead to a new life in Christ.

Join us in building a new Women’s Center—a place of refuge, dignity, and transformation.
