Communications & Development Internship

Source Urban Outreach & Anti-Trafficking

Source is located in one of the most diverse neighborhoods in the country. There are over 100 languages that are spoken within 1.5 miles of our facilities, there are 4 shelters and high volume of section 8 housing within 6 blocks, and we are across the street from the Mpls Institute of Arts.

Our Urban Outreach Department focuses on neighborhood and shelter outreach through our Fallout Urban Art Center & Coop, Transitional Homes, and National Homeless Youth Outreach.

After working with teens in prostitution since 1995, Source began Source’s Anti-Trafficking Department in 2010. Source has partnered with local law enforcement and the FBI to advocate for victims and survivors. In 2018 Source was the Victim Resource Coordinators for Super Bowl 52, through this experience we were able to grow our continuing reach of women in the community. We also continue to partner with law enforcement that includes the NCAA Final Four in April of 2019.
