Job description: Urban Outreach Associate
32-40 hours/week, 50% of wages and benefits fundraised by self (10% of which is taken by Source as an admin expense), 50% centrally funded by Source
Starting wage: $20/hour
Probationary period: 90 days
Monthly allowance for health care and other benefits (outlined in employee handbook) to begin upon successfully completing the probationary period.
Source is looking for someone who desires to work for a Christian ministry. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: engage in urban outreach and anti-trafficking efforts (as directed by our Director of Operations and Development, our Director of Anti-trafficking, our Director of Programming, and our Executive Director), ensure communications and messaging are accurate and consistent with Source, and participate in staff-wide activities.
Urban Outreach
- Serve as our assistant summer teen intern supervisor to help direct teen participants
- Engage teens that we are in relationship with
- Mentor college interns as needed
- Assist in hosting our weekly community meal
- Lead post-community meal Christian formation as needed
- Prepare for, Receive, and process food truck deliveries
- Occasionally serve at neighborhood pop-ups with our partner churches and community center
- Help with our scheduled weekly food distributions as directed
Anti-trafficking
- Go out with the homeless encampment team
- Revitalize our anti-trafficking meeting room in the Annex as needed
- Support our new anti-trafficking director if they are hired
General
- Pray with us at our weekly staff prayer times
- Enlist supporters to pray for Source
- Participate in our weekly staff meeting
- Work at our annual golf fundraiser and annual Fall gathering
- Follow directions of Source’s fundraising protocol
