Super Bowl in Houston

Source Director, Peter Wohler and Grant Snyder, Minneapolis Police Department, will be traveling to Houston for the Super Bowl weekend this year in preparation for the Super Bowl 2018 in Minneapolis.
The Super Bowl is an international event that is infamous for bringing a surge of victimization and trafficking into the host city. Peter and Sgt. Snyder’s mission is to connect with law enforcement, social workers and non-profits to help discern the most effective way to help trafficking victims when the Super Bowl is hosted in Minneapolis in 2018.
The next year will be incredibly significant for anti-trafficking victims in the Midwest. We have started working to partner and coordinate efforts with law enforcement, non-profits, and churches using the Super Bowl in February of 2018 as a focal point to provide resources for many years to come.
Events such as a 5k race on Super Bowl weekend at Target Field, and the Trafficking Justice Freedom Weekend this March are examples of partnerships we are working to strengthen this year. This spring we will also be announcing a campaign to increase awareness, prayer, outreach, recovery resources and transitional home beds.

Please consider investing in opportunities for victims of trafficking. Help is needed in many areas and there are multiple volunteer opportunities to take advantage of for this international event.
